This Friday we will be testing the 2,5 and 10 times tables. Next week we move onto the 3 times tables.

Today the boys took part in various investigations. They predicted which objects would float and which would sink. Then they took part in various investigations to prove their predictions.
The boys also made boats using foil and tested their vessels using marbles. Their boats were virtually unsinkable!
Sarah has invited 54 friends to her birthday party. She wants to buy each of her friends a chocolate bar. When she visits the chocolate shop she is faced with a problem. Every box of chocolate contains 10 chocolate bars. How many boxes does she need to buy to ensure that all her friends get a chocolate? Unfortunately you cannot buy these chocolates individually.
Our challenge today in our Science lesson involved testing different materials to see which one or indeed ones would be the best to use as carrier bags. The boys had great fun pulling, tearing and watering the different materials. The verdict unanimous, plastic is the best material although not the best for the environment!
