They boys were very busy this morning decorating the room in readiness for our ‘Bake Sale’. The boys had so much fun preparing the rooms. Thank you so much for all your delicious donations!

Today the boys were given an introduction to Year 3 by the present Year 3 boys.

Exciting times ahead!

Yesterday the boys visited Lazarus in the Science Labs. The boys loved seeing the giant African snail.

Today the boys were treated to another imaginative session.

This is a brief description:

The theme is ‘Myths and Legends’ 

The leader comes in as Merlin and wants the children to go back 100’s of years to Ancient Britain to help King Arthur with his adventures. King Arthur has lost his Sword in the Stone and they need to find it!  We need brave children as they might need to face a dragon, sing songs and have loads of fun but also play acting games and learn rhymes to improve concentration and coordination.

In ICT this term, the boys will be making a digital collage all about themselves.  We will be using paint software along with digital cameras at school to capture all the things that make your sons unique.  To help them with this, please help your son to take up to five photographs at home of things that are special to him.  This could include favourite toys, books, games, or people.  The pictures do not need to have your son in them, if you prefer, they could just take pictures of objects.

This week we have been talking about Global Warming and what we can do to look after our planet.

Today the boys will be designing a “Recycloreptile”  (a reptile made from entirely from recycled materials!) and they will then make their model next week.

Please look in the Reading Record books today (Thursday) to see what your son will need to bring to make his model next week. All the required “junk” will need to be brought into school next Tuesday at the latest. Thank you!
