Science – Investigating Friction

Friction is a force between two surfaces that are sliding, or trying to slide, across each other. For example, when you try to push a book along the floor, friction makes this difficult. Friction always works in the direction opposite to the direction in which the object is moving, or trying to move.

We have investigated how far a car travels on different ramp surfaces. Do you remember the surfaces that we used for our fair test?

Can you explain your investigation results to someone at home?

Today’s English lesson

This morning, we focused on peer self evaluation. The boys shared their Amazing Grace comprehension answers with each other and suggested ways to improve their writing.

Do you remember how you can improve your work? Please comment with your ideas.
