Alec and Oliver’s stories have been selected to go through to the next round of the BBC Radio 2 500 Word Competition. In January, we watched the BBC Radio 2 live lesson at school together. All the boys then wrote their stories at home. 

The competition was extremely tough. There were 131,798 entries and only 5,000 go to the Reading Agency for the second round of judging. BBC Radio 2 will be back in touch in May with an update when they have selected their Final 50.

Fingers crossed for Alec and Oliver! We are so pleased and proud of you both.

 

 

Here are some photos from our Maths Tetra workshop this morning. 2WA worked with boys from 1G and had lots of fun. We made triangles, rhombi, trapeziums and octahedrons. The octahedrons were all put together by Martin to create a tunnel. The boys loved learning more about shapes, problem solving and working together.
