Our Epping Forest Trip
To link with our Science topic on Living Things, Year 2 ventured to Epping Forest Field Study Centre. We were fortunate that it was a sunny, warm day. We were excited to be in the fresh air and spirits were high!
Once we got to the centre, we received a warm welcome and were quickly divided into classes. The day was split into two halves. One session was dedicated to pond dipping and the other to meadow sweeping and log lifting.
As you can imagine, the boys had a blast and participated with enthusiasm and interest. It was great to be out of the classroom and have the freedom to explore the great outdoors. The boys had the opportunity to use a variety of different equipment and the staff at the centre made it fun, captivating the boys interests.
A great day was had by all and we hope to return again in the future.
