Another busy week in 2OA!
In Science the boys were lucky enough to visit the Senior science labs to carry out experiments for our topic of electricity. The boys really enjoyed the lesson and are looking forward to returning next Friday!
In Maths we have been exploring counting in 2’s and linking it to the 2 times table. We have mastered that multiplication is repeated addition.

Geography saw us thinking about how we could improve the lives of people living in Spring Town. The boys made some insightful comments and really thought about the areas that needed improving. Maybe some of them will be city planners in years to come!
In History we have continued exploring the topic of Communication Now and Then. We found out about Alexander Bell’s famous invention of then telephone. This also linked into our English written work.
The boys explored how telephones have changed since the first phone. The differences between then and now were quite amazing to the boys! We then made comparisons looking at similarities and differences.
Next Monday the 27th November is Open Classroom for Year 2. We look forward to your son sharing and showing his work with you.
Another exciting thing is that next Friday it is chocolate mufti day! Bring in some chocolate for the Christmas fayre in return for wearing your own clothes.
Don’t forget to work on our play songs and your lines if you get a chance as next Tuesday is our dress rehearsal !
